About Us

Our Lady of La Salette Charitable Legacy was formed by a group of relatives and lay supporters connected to the late Bishop of Morondava, Madagascar, Donald J. Pelletier M.S., and Fr. Jack Nuelle M.S.

In July of 2022, some of those lay supporters were moved to fund the building of a school in Andika Sur Mer, Madagascar dedicated to Bishop Donald due to his accidental death earlier in June of that year. Supporters who attended the school’s dedication were inspired to continue and expand the works of Bishop Donald to preserve his legacy and that of the many men and women he labored with for over 60 years.

Inspiration became action in 2023 when relatives of Bishop Donald and his co-Missionary Fr. Jack Nuelle, M.S. started Our Lady Of La Salette Charitable Legacy (OLLSCL) to provide the long-term, reliable funding that will both preserve and expand the work in Madagascar and beyond where the current La Salette missionaries are stationed.

Our goal is simple: provide perpetual funding so that the life’s work of Bishop Donald, Fr. Jack Nuelle, and many other men and women continues. Projects like access to fresh water, funding for schools and books, assistance for handicap care, and support for the elderly.
